Formal: Often shots were people are perfectly nice dressed, they are looking straight into the camera and possing their photo.
Informal: Peole who are not acting their picture. This type of portrait can show the people for example in their normal life
Environmental: Poeple in their normal life not acting or possing anything

The eyes: important for the viewer! They tell us something about the thoughts of the guy in the picture
The background: Tells very often a little story about the person. Is a way to let the person look like how they want to.
The lighting: Creates mood!!! Can make a person look like a scary monster or very happy
